Still here....

Hello Blog World! Yep...I'm still here...not sure if any of you are anymore. ;) Life is crazy, wonderful, busy....all of that leaves very little time for blogging. What few minutes of free time I have I can usually be found on Facebook. I know a lot of you are there as well.

I have so much I'd like to write about and I do think I may revitalize the blog a little or maybe start a new one to discuss some different topics...mainly exercise and nutrition. For now you'll get a nutshell version of life and maybe a few pics.

Let's start with Carlton. My spirited, temperamental, loving, sweet boy. In a mere 3 weeks he will be FOUR years old. Seriously? Where has the time gone? He is completely obsessed with anything train. Riding on them, playing with them, wearing them, watching them...you get the idea. We continue to struggle a bit with potty training. Mostly the poopies. You mommies likely know what I mean. All of a sudden he also refuses to sleep in his room. Sigh...one day he'll decide it's not cool to crawl in bed with mom and dad every night.

Jackson is 2.5 years old. He is sweet as can be, is talking up a storm, sings along with his favorite CD in the car, loves all things Cars and his favorite book is Brown Bear. He's still a wonderful little sleeper and one of these days we'll start thinking about potty training....hopefully he'll be easier when big bro gets it all figured out.

When the two of them get together the result is lots of wrestling, fighting over toys, hugs, kisses, tears....typical little boys! I wouldn't have it any other way....well, I could do without some of the fighting and tantrum throwing. Just comes with the territory.

Enough chat, let's check out the boys....

On the train with Daddy last weekend...

Carlton w/ Charlee, the chihuahua....the most tolerable dog around!

Tonight I asked the boys to hug for a picture...this is how it ended...

Sweet Jackson just before going on a train ride with Carlton and Daddy last Sunday...

As for me...the past year has been focused on becoming the healthiest mom, wife, person I can be! I've mentioned this in passing over the past year and just haven't found a way to really talk about it publically on the blog. If you've ever struggled with your weight you likely understand how difficult it can be to discuss opening, publically and honestly. I've had a challenge with my weight since I was in elementary school. I'm now 39 years old and I'm FINALLY getting it figured out. It's not easy, I will face this challenge the rest of my life, but I am learning how to change my lifestyle to cope with it. I am very proud to share with you that I have LOST 110 POUNDS since August 1st. Just under a year. This time last year I never would have imagined it was possible. I've been stuck for the past couple months, but that's not going to deter me from accomplishing my goals! I'm asked on pretty much a daily basis how I've done this...the simple answer is "exercise and eating right". We'll talk more about that soon....

It's late, I must sleep....
