Another weekend has come and gone. Time surely does fly when you are having fun...well, mostly fun.
On Friday afternoon Jackson had his first trip to the emergency room. I usually work from home on Fridays but I had to go into the office for a meeting. I dropped the boys at daycare and Jackson seemed fine. Well, that didn't last long. The poor kid started having major poopy (uh - diarrhea) issues pretty much every 15 minutes for several hours. I feel so bad for his poor, sweet teachers as well. He stopped eating and drinking and was completely lethargic. Jeff bolted from work and called the pediatrician on the way. They instructed him to take him to the ER for fear of dehydration. I was over an hour away and a total wreck. Just hearing your child's name and ER in the same sentence is enough to freak any mom out. I left work and by the time I got the ER Jackson had perked up a bit. He was in a lot of pain from a horrible diaper rash. They examined him, tested for roto-virus and observed him for a while. Luckily, other than an icky stomach bug, he seemed fine. They sent us on our way after a few hours. He started eating and drinking again and has improved a great deal over the weekend. Daddy is not faring so well right now...he seems to have caught the bug.
As I do on most Saturday mornings I had a training session at the gym with one of my personal trainers. I love getting my weekend started with a good workout. It was a good one too! I love feeling stronger and better about myself! It rained all day and since the boys were all feeling icky we stayed home and had a lazy day....full of laundry and little household stuff. Carlton thinks he's above naps these days so we snuggled on the couch at naptime and he fell asleep on me. Not much sweeter than your son snuggled up sleeping on you. We tried to stay up and root on the Phillies and Buckeyes but sleep got the best of me. Bummer for the Buckeye loss, but YAY PHILLIES!!!
Today was not anymore exciting than yesterday. I ran errands, hit the gym for a cardio workout, cooked dinner (with Carlton's help), played with the boys....
Here are a few pics to sum up the day....

I figured out why I got this Rocket costume on dirt cheap clearance....kids are freaked out by it!!! Neither one of mine will wear it. Now I need to come up with an alternative for Halloween.
Until next time...
